Electricity production from renewable sources

In the last decades, the production of energy using renewable sources has been a main focus for certain countries. Some of them due to their specific geographic location and “green sources” available such as sun or wind. Others have shifted their energy model due to ecological and/or economic reasons, such as Germany with photovoltaics. Below find a chart that show the % of electricity production excluding hydroelectric per country from 1990 to 2014. You can see how Denmark has increased a lot its % in the last few years. Nicaragua follows Denmark in this ranking with a 41% in 2014.
