I have a column with at random numbers between 1 and 7. I want to count how many data points are greater than 5. How do I do this?

There are two ways of counting elements in Quadrigram.

1.- Using an Aggregate formula which will aggregate repetitions on a given block (column, table, row)

2.- Using a Pivot table, which acts very similar to the pivot table in Ms Excel.

However, you want to apply a counting based on a filter, and therefore you can first calculate a filter formula to gather data greater than 5 and then pass that red output block to the next formula, which will be the pivot table. This does not solve entirely your scenario, because with the pivot formula you will get a list of points that meet your requirement, but not the total number of points greater than 5.
